The stages of the project
What we have done
Construction of educational examples and concepts for multiplication
Education is fundamental, but it must also be entertaining and different in order to meet the challenge of educating today's new generations. Generations that, like those living in an important outermost region of Europe such as the Canary Islands, live under ideal climatic conditions for our project. A region where water, sun and air have a more significant relevance than in other parts of Europe.

Our project will design 3 prototypes of demonstrators based on these renewable energies, taking as a reference some skills that nature already practices to obtain them, as is the case of the movement of sunflowers to capture the sun's energy or the ability of some plants to collect the precious drops of water, so scarce in some places like the Canary Islands. Thus, our demonstrators will become a tool to help capture the sun's energy, a system to collect water and a small windmill.
Once we materialize this into effective demonstrators, we will connect them to the IoT platform that we will create and that will collect data from all the participants in the project.
Its assembly and creation will be determined by easy and visual guides that we will distribute in 20 of the participating vocational training centers, thus reaching about 30 teachers and more than 200 students who will be part of the change.
What we are doing
Learning experience on sustainability and digitization
Once we have our guides and demonstrators ready, the time will come to create channels and spaces to train the protagonists of this digital and ecological transformation: the academic world, designated teachers, and educational centers both locally and internationally.
Switzerland will be the place chosen to train 10 of the trainers who will guide the young people throughout the project: Swiss and Spanish teachers. With them, the change will begin, as they will be responsible for bringing this knowledge to their places of origin and guiding 60 students in the creation of the first EduDemoS demonstrators.
From there, some will fly to Brussels to be presented to the world by teachers and 30 students from Spain and Switzerland.
The next step will be to evaluate the impact of what has been achieved and analyze what has been learned so that, if necessary, we can assess what is still needed to achieve the objective.

What we are going to do
Open program to connect people and spread the word on how to build sustainable technologies
At this point in the project we will have trained teachers and students from different European countries and they will have brought EduDemoS to life through their recreations of sustainable demonstrators. Now all that remains is to expand the project, thus returning to the snowball effect: that those trained educate others so that they in turn teach their students to develop their own models using ours as an example.
![conectar1](https://edudemos.eu/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/conectar1.png)
We will spread the word by organizing local makeathons , where we will connect more than 200 innovative and creative minds who will create their own demonstrators and connect them to the data platform.
In addition, thanks to the 4 virtual showrooms we are going to hold, we intend to reach more than 100 students who will give voice and amplify both the designs and how to build them.
Finally, data collection will be fundamental in the EduDemoS project, so 15 groups of students and teachers will connect their models to the IoT platform that will provide us with the final results for our final report. A report that, as we have already said, seeks a greener and more sustainable Europe.
