Rhein Waal University will organize the IoT (Internet of Things) and electronics workshop for demonstrators.

The seventh edition of the international festival of innovation, better known as the Smart Island Green Makeathonwill be the event where the proposals for sustainable demonstrators of our project will be born and built for the first time. The event will be held from Wednesday, February 28th to Saturday, March 2nd.

The Makeathon 2024 will bring together 900 participants with the aim of connecting young talents with international companies to work together on sustainability and digitalization. Over four days, attendees will have to develop new initiatives related to green mobility, smart agriculture or automation, always with an eye on one goal: achieving a sustainable future.

The launch of the EduDemoS project will start a day before, specifically on Tuesday 27 February, with the IoT (Internet of Things) and electronic components for the demonstrators workshop led by Rhein Waal University in the NEXO building of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). Eleven students from St. Gallen High School in Switzerland, five students from IES El Rincón and the ULPGC Industrial Design Engineering students who collaborated in the development of the demonstrators will participate in the project. These models will continue to be tested during the Makeathon 2024. For this occasion, the German demonstrator will be the chosen proposal with which the different participants will test.
